Set days package
On average, schools usually request us for a set amount of days per year, such as 10 days per year, to then come into school and assess 2-3 children per day, provide a short summary report, liaise with home and then come back in for the next day as agreed. We can assess and provide support for sensory processing, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, social inclusion and behavioural support. Please note, this option will only provide a summary report of needs, not an in depth standardised report. How you choose to use your therapist throughout this day is up to you, such as training, sensory circuits, 1:1 therapy sessions or assessments.

Full individual assessments
Alternatively, if you require a more indepth assessment or just a one off assessment for a child (or for a handful of children) then we offer a full assessment which includes a standardised assessment of their motor skills, fine and gross motor, their sensory profile, independence skills and full recommendations. During these assessments we liaise with teaching staff and home to gain a full picture of the child’s needs.

EHCP provision
Some children in your school may have Occupational Therapy provision on their Education, Health and Care Plans. This means it is your responsibility as a school to pay for an occupational therapist to provide this provision. Many schools have several children with Occupational Therapy on their EHCP, which can be expensive to fund individually. Alternative funding options are paying a therapist to come in once a week/once a fortnight for a whole day to fulfil these EHCP provisions. We can usually see up to 6 children per day for EHCP provisions (8-hour days)
